The AMD EPYC™ 9655 is a server processor for data centre teams and system builders running demanding virtualisation, compute, database or AI workloads. Its 96 cores and 192 threads make it suited to highly parallel tasks and multi workload server environments.

Built on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture, the processor combines a 2.6 GHz base clock with boost speeds up to 4.5 GHz and 384 MB of L3 cache. It supports up to 6400 MT/s DDR5 memory across 12 channels, while 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes provide high bandwidth connectivity for server expansion. The SP5 platform also supports one or two processors in a system, depending on the server design.

This tray processor is designed for an SP5 server motherboard and requires a compatible platform, memory configuration and cooling solution. Check the server or motherboard manufacturer’s CPU support list and thermal requirements before installation. Good to know: the tray package contains the CPU only; a cooler is not included.
