The AMD EPYC 4244P is a 6-core, 12-thread server processor from the AMD EPYC 4004 Series. It uses the AM5 socket, which makes it a cost-effective choice for entry-level servers, small business systems and hosted services that do not need a large multi-socket platform.

It has a 65W TDP, keeping power and cooling demands modest, and its six cores suit file, print, web and light virtualisation duties. It supports dual-channel DDR5 memory up to 5200 MT/s and 28 lanes of PCIe 5.0 for storage and expansion cards. This is the tray version, supplied as the processor only.

Compatibility

Uses the AM5 socket: choose a server or workstation motherboard that lists EPYC 4004 Series support, and check its CPU support list for the BIOS version required. No cooler is included with the tray version, so you will need an AM5 cooler rated for a 65W processor.
