The ARCTIC TP-3 is a soft thermal pad for transferring heat between components and a heatsink. Its 100 x 100 mm sheet suits PC builders and repairers who need to cover a larger area or cut pads to fit memory, chipsets and other electronics.

Its very soft, compressible material helps fill uneven gaps and accommodate differences in component height while putting less stress on delicate or raised parts. The 0.5 mm thickness can compress to 0.3 mm, helping compensate for height differences of up to 0.2 mm. The pad is electrically insulating, non-adhesive and can be cut to shape. ARCTIC also says TP-3 pads can be stacked to adapt to different gap sizes.

Compatibility

Use the pad between a heat-producing component and a heatsink where a thermal pad is required. Check the component and heatsink gap before fitting, as the correct pad thickness depends on the clearance and the component layout. Good to know: ARCTIC advises extra care when installing the particularly soft 0.5 mm pad.
