The ASUS 4G-AC86U is a 4G LTE modem router for homes, small offices and locations where a mobile data connection is the best way online. Insert a Nano SIM and it shares your 4G connection over dual-band WiFi and four Gigabit Ethernet ports; it can also take a wired connection from a broadband modem or ONT through its WAN port.

Its LTE Cat.12 modem supports downloads of up to 600Mbps and uploads of up to 150Mbps, and it also supports 3G HSPA+. WiFi 5 (802.11ac) dual-band wireless delivers up to 800Mbps on 2.4GHz and up to 1733Mbps on 5GHz (AC2600 class), with MU-MIMO to serve several devices at once. ASUS AiProtection Pro adds security features including malicious site blocking, two-way IPS and infected device prevention, and VPN client and server modes are built in.
