The Gigabyte B840M DS3H is a Micro-ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5, designed for desktop builds based on AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. It suits home, office and entry-level gaming PCs that need DDR5 memory, fast NVMe storage and 2.5GbE networking on a compact board.

Four DDR5 slots support dual-channel memory up to 256GB, with AMD EXPO memory profiles and speeds up to DDR5 8200 (overclocked). Two M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 support take fast SSDs, and four SATA 6Gb/s ports cover hard drives and 2.5-inch SSDs. A digital 8+2+2 phase VRM powers the processor, and the EZ-Latch quick-release design makes it easier to remove a graphics card from the PCIe x16 slot. The rear panel provides an HDMI 2.1 output and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs for processors with integrated graphics.

Compatibility

Fits cases that support Micro-ATX boards (244 x 244 mm). Uses DDR5 memory only. The onboard HDMI and DisplayPort outputs need a processor with integrated graphics; otherwise fit a separate graphics card. Wi-Fi is not built in.
