The Hama AV Converter, Scart to HDMI™ connects older SCART equipment, such as a video recorder, set-top box or DVD player, to an HDMI screen. It suits anyone bringing a legacy source back into use with a modern flat-screen TV or monitor.

It converts analogue image and sound signals to an HDMI signal, with playback up to Full HD 1080p. The SCART input supports PAL, NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, SECAM, PAL/M and PAL/N formats, while the HDMI output is compatible with HDMI 1.3. This gives a straightforward way to connect supported older equipment to a newer display with an HDMI input.
