The Hama DVD Laser Cleaning Disc is made for owners of DVD players who want to clean the laser optics without using a cleaning liquid. It suits home users troubleshooting dirt related playback problems and anyone maintaining a DVD player that accepts tray loaded discs.

The disc performs a gentle dry clean intended to remove particles of dirt from inside the DVD drive and help improve playback quality. It includes a menu with a choice of eight languages, plus an animation with high resolution images. During use, the animation runs for around 30 seconds; cleaning is complete when it stops. The straightforward process uses the DVD player’s own controls, so there is no separate cleaning fluid to apply.
