The HYTE Y40 is a mid tower PC case for builders creating a gaming or enthusiast desktop with an ATX, microATX or Mini-ITX motherboard. Its panoramic glass panels put a vertically mounted graphics card and the rest of the system on show, making it suited to builds where the hardware is part of the display.

The two-piece glass design gives a broad view into the case, while the included PCIe 4.0 x16 riser supports vertical GPU installation. Four full-height slots are available for the graphics card, with additional airflow space between the card and the glass. Two 120 mm fans come pre-installed, and the case supports a range of air and liquid cooling layouts, including radiators up to 280 mm at the side and 360 mm at the top.

Compatibility

The Y40 supports ATX, microATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, ATX power supplies up to 224 mm long, graphics cards up to 422 mm long and 94 mm high, and CPU coolers up to 183 mm high. The manufacturer recommends graphics cards 80 mm high or less for best cooling. Storage support is one 3.5-inch HDD or two 2.5-inch SSDs. The front panel has two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port and a combined audio/mic jack. Good to know: a power supply and storage drives are not included, and the PCIe riser is intended for vertical graphics card mounting.
