The j5create JVA11-N is a compact 4K HDMI capture adapter for recording or streaming video from a games console, camera or computer. It suits video podcasts, field production and gameplay capture where a small, bus-powered device is convenient.

Over USB 3.0 it captures up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps, as well as 2K at 60 fps and 1080p at 120 fps, in RGB, YUV 4:2:2 or YUV 4:2:0; over USB 2.0 it captures up to 1280 x 720 at 30 fps. The USB-C cable comes with a USB Type-A adapter for older computers, audio is carried over HDMI at 48 kHz, and the UVC standard means no driver installation. It works with a range of video capture and streaming software.

Compatibility

There is one HDMI input and no HDMI passthrough output. USB 3.2/3.0 is recommended for 4K capture. j5create lists Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.12 or later, Android 8.1 or later and Chrome OS with UVC support, with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ, NVIDIA GTX 960M and 8GB RAM or better.
