The Kingston A400 240GB SATA SSD is an internal storage drive for desktop and notebook users looking to improve the responsiveness of a compatible system. It suits people upgrading from a mechanical hard drive or replacing a smaller SSD, with space for everyday applications and files.

Flash storage and the absence of moving parts help the A400 deliver faster boot, loading and file transfer times than a traditional hard drive. For this 240GB model, sequential performance is rated at up to 500MB/s read and 350MB/s write. Its 2.5-inch, 7mm form factor and SATA interface make it suitable for systems with a matching drive bay and connection. The drive is also shock and vibration resistant, and operates more quietly and coolly than a mechanical hard drive.
