The Seagate Expansion STKM4000400 is a 4TB portable hard drive for people who need extra space for files at home, at work or while travelling. It suits laptop and desktop users who want to back up documents and photos, keep a media library to hand or move files between compatible computers.

Connect the drive over USB and save files using drag and drop, with no software installation required. Its USB 3.0 connection supports transfer speeds of up to 5.0Gbps and is compatible with USB 2.0 ports, though USB 3.0 is required for USB 3.0 transfer speeds. The compact form measures 115.3mm long, 80mm wide and 20.9mm high, and weighs 257g, making it easy to carry between locations. The drive works with Windows, macOS and ChromeOS systems; reformatting may be needed to use it with Time Machine.
