The TP-Link Deco X50-PoE is a Wi-Fi 6 mesh access point for households that need stronger wireless coverage or want to extend an existing Deco network. It suits homes with multiple connected devices, as well as users who prefer to mount their network equipment on a wall or ceiling.

Dual-band AX3000 Wi-Fi combines speeds of up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. The unit can be placed on a tabletop or mounted, and supports power through an 802.3at PoE connection or its included DC power adapter. Its 2.5 Gbps port supports multi-gigabit internet access, while the additional Gigabit port provides a wired connection. Deco mesh technology helps compatible Deco units work together under one Wi-Fi name, with devices switching between units as you move around the home. HomeShield provides network security features, parental controls and quality of service tools.

Compatibility

The Deco X50-PoE works with existing modems and internet service providers, and can operate in router or access point mode. Manage setup and network settings using the Deco app; the listed minimum requirements are Android 5.0 or later and iOS 9.0 or later. The 1-pack contains one Deco unit. Good to know: a modem is needed for internet access, and PoE installation requires a compatible 802.3at PoE source; the included power adapter is an alternative.
