The Ubiquiti POE-48-24W is a passive Power over Ethernet injector for compatible network devices. It suits network installers and administrators powering supported Ubiquiti wireless access points, client premises equipment or base stations where Fast Ethernet is sufficient.

It supplies 48V DC at up to 0.5A, with data and power carried through shielded RJ45 connections. The injector uses a 10/100 Ethernet interface rather than Gigabit, making it appropriate for endpoints that do not need Gigabit data speeds. Its grounding path and surge and clamping protection help protect connected equipment from electrostatic discharge and electrical surges. It also supports a wide AC input range and includes an IEC-320 C6 power connection.

Compatibility

Connect the data source to the injector’s Data In port and the compatible powered device to its PoE output. Check the device requirements before connecting: this is a 48V passive PoE injector and does not provide Gigabit Ethernet. It is not interchangeable with 802.3af or 802.3at injectors unless the endpoint specifically supports this passive power arrangement. Good to know: the power cable is included, but the Ethernet cables and powered network device are not listed as included.
