The WD Purple WD44PURZ is an internal surveillance hard drive for home security installations and business DVR or NVR systems. Its 4TB capacity gives system builders and security installers room to retain video recordings from multiple cameras.

Designed for always-on surveillance recording, this drive uses WD AllFrame technology to help reduce dropped video frames and improve recording and playback. Its workload rating of up to 180TB per year is suited to the sustained write activity common in security systems.
