The GIGABYTE GC-WB1733D-I is an internal PCIe expansion card that adds dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to a desktop PC. It suits a PC builder who needs wireless networking or Bluetooth connectivity for compatible peripherals without relying on a separate external adapter.

With 2x2 802.11ac support and a stated wireless connection speed of up to 1733 Mbps, the card is designed for fast Wi-Fi over the 5 GHz band. It also supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and includes Bluetooth 5, bringing two wireless functions to one expansion card. Its supplied Intel Wireless-AC 9260 module and two external antennas support the card’s wireless features.

Key features

• Combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in a single PCIe expansion card.
• Supports dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless networking.
• Uses 2x2 802.11ac with 160 MHz channel support.
• Offers a stated wireless connection speed of up to 1733 Mbps.
• Includes an Intel Wireless-AC 9260 module.
• Two external antennas support WLAN 2Tx2R transmission.
• Supports Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast as a source.
• Supports WPA and WPA2 security.

Compatibility

The card installs in a PCI Express x1 slot. Bluetooth connects through the card’s USB connector, so using that function requires connecting the included USB cable to a compatible motherboard USB header. Wi-Fi supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac networks; actual connection speed depends on the wireless network and setup. Good to know: check that your motherboard has both a free PCI Express x1 slot and an available USB header before buying, especially if you want Bluetooth as well as Wi-Fi.
