Set it up using the Fidesmo app on an NFC-enabled smartphone, then add a supported credit or debit card to Fidesmo Pay. At the payment terminal, hold the strap about 2–4 cm from the reader. The passive NFC chip activates close to the reader, and the strap uses a digitally encrypted token derived from the linked card number. Hama says the service supports more than 800 banks and is certified by Visa and Mastercard.
