The Hama 201949 is a UK mains charger for people who want to power a laptop, phone or tablet from one compact adapter. Its three USB ports also suit a shared desk or travel setup where several devices need charging.

GaN components help keep the charger compact and reduce heat development. It supports USB Power Delivery for output up to 100 W, as well as Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0. The charger recognises connected devices and adjusts the charging output. Its two USB-C ports and one USB-A port allow up to three devices to be connected at once, with available power shared between them.

Key features

• GaN technology combines high charging power with a compact, lightweight design.
• Power Delivery supports output up to 100 W for compatible devices.
• Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and 3.0 support adds a further fast charging option.
• Automatic device recognition adjusts charging for connected equipment.
• Three output ports let you connect multiple devices at the same time.
• Built-in protection helps guard against overload, excess current, short circuits and temperature issues.

Compatibility

The charger is intended for devices that can be charged through USB-A or USB-C. To use Power Delivery, check that your device supports USB PD; the actual charging rate depends on the device and the number of devices connected. The USB-C ports can each supply up to 100 W and the USB-A port up to 18 W when used within the charger's total 100 W capacity. Good to know: the charger accepts 200–240 V mains input, so it is not suitable for worldwide mains use without checking the local voltage and using an appropriate plug adapter.
