The PREVO DP14-2M is a 2 m DisplayPort cable for connecting a computer or other DisplayPort source to a compatible monitor. It suits desktop users, gamers and creative workers who need a direct cable connection for high resolution or high refresh rate displays.

With DisplayPort 1.4 support, the cable handles resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz and a stated data rate of 32.4 Gbit/s. It also supports Display Stream Compression 1.2, Dynamic HDR and multi-screen display setups. The braided construction is designed for durability, while gold-plated contacts provide the connector finish. Backwards compatibility with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 can help it work with older DisplayPort equipment.

Key features

• DisplayPort 1.4 connection at each end, with male connectors.
• Supports display resolutions up to 7680 x 4320 pixels.
• Supports up to 8K at 60Hz, with other modes dependent on the connected equipment.
• 32.4 Gbit/s data transfer rate for high bandwidth video.
• Display Stream Compression 1.2 and Dynamic HDR support.
• Backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1.

Compatibility

Use it between a DisplayPort output and a DisplayPort input. This is a male-to-male cable, so check that both devices have the appropriate DisplayPort sockets. The resolution and refresh rate available depend on the source device, display and their supported settings. Good to know: this cable has DisplayPort connectors at both ends; it does not convert between DisplayPort and another video connection.
