The TP-Link Omada ER703WP-4G-Outdoor is a cellular gateway for businesses, installers and site operators who need network access where fixed broadband is unavailable or difficult to install. It suits remote buildings, temporary work sites and outdoor installations that need both 4G connectivity and local Wi-Fi.

Its 4G+ Cat6 modem supports download speeds up to 300 Mbps, while dual-band Wi-Fi 6 provides up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Three Gigabit WAN/LAN ports give wired devices a connection, with PoE input and two PoE output ports helping reduce the need for separate power runs. Ethernet WAN can also work alongside 4G for automatic backup and load balancing. The IP55-rated enclosure is designed for outdoor or indoor installation, and the gateway integrates with TP-Link Omada central management.

Key features

• 4G+ Cat6 connectivity provides a WAN option for sites without practical fixed-line access.
• Wi-Fi 6 with AX3000-class rates serves wireless devices from the gateway itself.
• Three Gigabit WAN/LAN ports support wired connections and flexible WAN configuration.
• PoE input can power the gateway, while two PoE output ports can supply compatible equipment.
• Automatic 4G and Ethernet WAN backup with load balancing helps maintain connectivity.
• IP55 weather protection supports outdoor placement in exposed locations.
• Omada central management enables network administration through the Omada platform.

Compatibility

Use a Nano SIM with a suitable mobile data plan for cellular access; check local 4G band support with the mobile provider. Power is supported through 802.3at/bt or passive PoE, or a 12V/2A DC supply. The DC power adapter is not included. Good to know: a Nano SIM and mobile data plan are required for 4G service, and the DC adapter must be sourced separately if you are not using PoE.
