The TP-Link Omada ES206GP is a six-port Gigabit switch for small offices, shops and home networks that need to connect wired devices alongside PoE-powered cameras or wireless access points. Four ports provide PoE+, while the other two provide Gigabit Ethernet connections for devices such as PCs and printers.

Plug-and-play connectivity gets a network started quickly, with VLAN, QoS, IGMP snooping and automatic loop prevention available for additional traffic control. PoE Auto Recovery can restore power to a connected device when needed, and port isolation helps separate traffic in surveillance setups. Its fanless metal casing runs silently and can sit on a desktop or be wall-mounted. The 65W PoE budget supports up to 30W per PoE port, subject to the total available budget.

Compatibility

Connect PoE-compatible cameras or access points to ports 1–4; other Ethernet devices can use the RJ45 ports. PoE transmission can reach up to 250m, with the port speed reduced to 10 Mbps at that distance. The Omada app and centralised cloud management features require an Omada Controller; some functions have additional controller requirements. Good to know: check the power requirements of connected PoE devices against the 65W total budget and 30W per-port maximum.
