The TP-Link Omada SG3428XMP is a managed network switch for small businesses and organisations building out a wired network. Its 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports can connect access points, IP cameras, IP phones, PCs and printers, while four 10G SFP+ slots provide high-speed uplinks for servers or other switches.
PoE+ on all 24 RJ45 ports can carry data and power over one Ethernet cable to compatible devices, helping simplify installations where power sockets are inconvenient. The switch has a total PoE budget of 384 W, with up to 30 W output per port. For network administration, it supports standalone management through the web interface, CLI, SNMP and RMON, or centralised cloud management through Omada. Static routing, VLAN, ACL, QoS and IGMP Snooping support traffic control and network segmentation.
Key features
- Four 10 Gbps SFP+ slots provide high-bandwidth uplinks.
- Twenty-four Gigabit RJ45 ports support 802.3af/at PoE+.
- A 384 W total PoE budget supports multiple powered network devices.
- Static routing helps manage traffic between internal networks.
- VLAN, ACL and QoS features give administrators control over network access and traffic priorities.
- IGMP Snooping helps direct multicast traffic to the relevant devices.
- ERPS supports rapid protection and recovery in a ring topology.
- The metal enclosure is designed for rack mounting.
Compatibility
Connect Ethernet devices to the RJ45 ports and compatible fibre or copper transceivers to the SFP+ slots. The RJ45 ports supply PoE to compatible 802.3af/at devices. Centralised Omada cloud management requires an Omada SDN Controller; Zero-Touch Provisioning requires the Omada Cloud-Based Controller. Good to know: PoE+ power is limited by the switch’s 384 W total budget, so check the combined requirements of connected devices.
