The Ubiquiti airMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco is a compact outdoor wireless bridge for network installers and small organisations that need to connect a building, outbuilding or remote network point. It operates in the 5 GHz band and supports airMAX AC for point to point and point to multipoint links.

Its integrated 13 dBi antenna and dual linear polarisation provide a focused directional link, while the separate management Wi-Fi radio makes setup with a mobile device easier. The single Gigabit Ethernet port combines network connectivity with passive PoE power, and the UV stabilised enclosure is designed for outdoor installation. airOS includes tools such as RF analytics, traffic shaping, bridging and distance adjustment.

Compatibility

This is an airMAX AC bridge for linking compatible wireless network equipment; it is not a general-purpose Wi-Fi access point for phones or laptops. The Ethernet port uses passive PoE, and the required 24V Gigabit PoE supply is not included. Do not connect it to an 802.3af/at PoE source. The unit supports 22–27V DC input.
